Saskia van Waaijenburg is the co-owner of Matamata Travel, an independent travel agency in New Zealand. An intrepid and enthusiastic traveller, she has personally visited more than 110 countries, won travel competitions and written travel articles for companies. Saskia designs and escorts international tours, sharing her curiosity about the people, places and stories behind each destination. A former history teacher and deputy principal, she brings a love of learning to every journey. She is delighted to serve as an Ambassador as part of the Nevada Specialist Challenge this year and be a panelist at GOVCON. Her goal is to inspire others to explore the world (especially Nevada) with curiosity and confidence.
