Chris Payne

GovCon Emcee

When Chris Payne was just eight years old, he dreamed of becoming one of three things: a professional soccer player, a member of the band KISS, or a radio personality. After graduating in 1986, he pursued a career in radio and landed his first job in 1989, pushing buttons for a Top 40 station. Thirty-six years and several stations between Reno and Sacramento later, Chris is now a proud member of the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame and serves as the emcee for the Arizona Diamondbacks’ Triple-A affiliate, the Reno Aces.

His decade-long role with the Aces opened the door to additional opportunities, including becoming the emcee for the University of Nevada’s athletic programs and Reno’s semi-pro hockey team, the Reno Ice Raiders.

When Chris isn’t behind the mic, he can often be found traveling to some of his favorite cities—Chicago, Buffalo, and Seattle—enjoying great tacos, or researching trends and ideas for his social media clients.

He is honored to serve as your emcee and looks forward to making your acquaintance in the Biggest Little City in the World—Reno, Nevada!
