Shelli Fine is the Director of Sports Development, overseeing all of the Reno Sparks Convention and Visitor’s Authority efforts in the sports industry. Fine joined the RSCVA in April of 2011, after working with John Ascuaga’s Nugget as their Special Events Manager. She has over 20 years of experience in the sports and events field, as well as marketing and public relations. She served as a senior management analyst with the City of Reno Redevelopment Agency overseeing a major redevelopment project. Fine was also previously with the RSCVA as the special events manager from 1993 to 2001 where she played an instrumental role in producing the company’s sporting event including the Reno Grand Prix SCCA Trans Am race, the Reno Tahoe Open PGA golf tournament, the Western Athletic Conference Basketball Championship, and Holiday Festival on Ice NBC television event.
